Jamshedpur Youth Congress protests arrest of National President, Parliament Clash

Jamshedpur: The East Singhbhum District Youth Congress Committee staged a protest today, near the statue of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, close to the old court. Led by district president Neeraj Singh, the protest was held to condemn the clash between BJP and Congress members outside Parliament yesterday and the arrest of Indian National Congress Youth Wing National President Uday Bhanu Chib in Guwahati earlier today.

The protesters, wearing black bands as a mark of dissent, gathered in large numbers to voice their grievances. Secretary of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, Prince Singh, highlighted what he termed as a “conspiracy” by the ruling BJP government.

“False cases are being fabricated against our leader Rahul Gandhi, and now, under the same conspiracy, our National President Uday Bhanu Chib has been arrested. Whenever the Modi government feels threatened, it resorts to undermining democracy through legal manipulations,” said Prince Singh.

He further warned that if the National President is not released immediately and the cases against Rahul Gandhi are not withdrawn, the Youth Congress would intensify its protests from the streets to the Parliament.

The protest witnessed significant participation from key leaders, including State Youth Congress Committee General Secretary Rakesh Sahu, District General Secretary Sanjay Chaudhary, Jugsalai Assembly President Navneet Mishra, and others. Notable attendees included Naveen Mishra, Shubham Shukla, Mukesh Kumar, Kuldeep Singh, Sandhya Das, Namita Singh, Anish Singh, Sunil Thakur, Santosh Mundri, Ramesh Kumar, and Nirmal Kumar, along with hundreds of Youth Congress workers.
