Jamshedpur, April 15. Kapali resident Mohammed Shaban Ansari (21) was beaten up by the policemen posted at PCR near Sonari bridge on Saturday.
Shaban reached his home in an injured state and informed his family members about the incident. On receiving the information of the incident, the family along with the local Congress leaders Taslima Malik, Farhad Begum and Khairun Nisha reached to complain to the SSP regarding the matter.
The victim has given a written complaint in this matter. Shaban told that he had come to Jamshedpur Transport Office to get his license done. He was going back to his home at 11.30 am. Just then a VIP convoy was passing by. He was far behind the convoy. As soon as the convoy crossed the bridge, the personnel of PCR No. 11, going behind, stopped it and started beating it without saying anything. Shaban told that he had kept fast, yet the police mercilessly beat him.
The women who came from Kapali along with the young man expressed their displeasure over the incident and under the leadership of Taslima Mallik met SSP Prabhat Kumar and pleaded for justice.
