Jamshedpur: Workshop to boost office efficiency among collectorate cadre employees

Jamshedpur: In a focused effort to enhance the efficiency and procedural knowledge of its administrative staff, a one-day workshop was organized by the Collectorate Cadre Association at the District Auditorium. The event aimed to train cadre employees in handling office tasks as per prescribed government procedures and to ensure standardized practices across all administrative levels.

The workshop saw the active participation of clerical staff from various blocks, circles, sub-divisions, land reform offices, and other departments functioning under the district headquarters. It was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum,  Ananya Mittal, who emphasized the importance of procedural discipline and the vital role that trained staff play in maintaining the administrative machinery.

“A well-informed and procedurally sound workforce is the backbone of good governance. This initiative is a commendable step towards professional capacity-building,” said  Mittal in his keynote address.

Key administrative officials and subject matter experts served as trainers during the session. Among the distinguished speakers were  Dhananjay Kumar, District Transport Officer cum Confidential Incharge,  David Balihar, Nazarat Sub-Collector,  Chandra Jeet Singh, Establishment Sub-Collector, and  Shankar Paul, Administrative Officer. They provided valuable insights on topics ranging from office documentation, record maintenance, official correspondence, and compliance with departmental protocols.

Additionally,  Virendra Yadav, State General Secretary of the Collectorate Cadre, and  Naveen Kumar, District President, played key roles in coordinating the event and shared perspectives on improving service delivery through efficient clerical functioning.

The workshop was marked by interactive sessions, practical examples, and a Q&A round, allowing employees to clarify doubts and align their understanding with current procedural standards.

Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity and recommended that such training programs be held regularly to keep pace with administrative updates and reforms.
