Jamshedpur: Worker falls from building, critical

Jamshedpur, March 6: A worker was critically injured after falling from a three storied building in Mohan Bagan, Kitadih, under Parsudih police station area on Sunday.

Sources said the incident occurred during the day when the victim, identified as Pradip Barua, a resident of ECC Flat, Kadma, was applying putty on the third floor of the building. Suddenly, Barua lost balance and fell on the ground. He sustained serious injuries on head, limbs and face, sources said.

Sandhya Barua, victim’s wife, reached the scene and took her husband to MGM Hospital. The victim was later referred to Tata Main Hospital.

Sandhya said lack of safety equipments led to the mishap.

Police have begun investigation into the incident.
