Jamshedpur: 77th Independence Day was celebrated in Jamshedpur Women’s University.
University vice-chancellor Anjila Gupta hoisted the flag in both the Sidhgora and Bistupur campuses.
Vice-Chancellor made it clear that the university will definitely shift to Sidgora campus in September next month and this campus of the university will also become functional.
She told that in this campus located on a large land, necessary auditorium, common room for girl students, sports and cultural room, conference hall etc. will be arranged or constructed for the activities of the university, so that the university will meet the guidelines of Raj Bhavan and achieve the status of Institute of Excellence.
The vice-chancellor said that apart from vocational courses, one-year certificate courses have been started as add-ons. New employment opportunities will be available for girl students through courses like Artificial Intelligence, Plant Tissue Culture Technology, Food Microbiology, Forensic Science, Sericulture, Event Management, Mushroom Cultivation Technology, Kathak, Guitar, Goods and Service Tax and Digital Marketing.
