Jamshedpur, April 24: The Faculty of Education at Jamshedpur Women’s University (JWU) organised a community service initiative on April 23 under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ela Kumar. Around 100 B.Ed first semester students participated in the programme.

Divided into groups, students visited institutions including School of Hope (Bistupur), Bal Vihar School (Sonari), Mukh Badhir Siddheshwar School (Baridih), and Adarsh Old Age Home. They engaged with children and elderly residents through interactive activities.
The programme included learning sessions, art and craft workshops, quiz competitions, and distribution of snacks and essential items. These activities helped boost creativity and confidence among participants.
At the old age home, students spent time with residents, listening to their experiences and offering companionship. The visits to special schools also gave students practical exposure to inclusive education and diverse learning needs.
