Jamshedpur: Five students from Jamshedpur Women’s University recently visited Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh, as part of the Ashtalakshmi Darshan Youth Exchange Program. The delegation represented the state of Jharkhand, participating actively in various cultural and academic activities.

Dr. Tripura Jha, the Nodal Officer of Jamshedpur Women’s University, guided the students throughout the journey, mentoring them to excel in various program segments.
Cultural Highlights and Honors
During the event at Rajiv Gandhi University, Dr. Tripura Jha delivered an impactful speech highlighting Jharkhand’s rich cultural heritage, earning her special recognition. She also met with the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, K.T. Parnaik, presenting him with a symbolic gift of Jharkhand’s famous pilgrimage site, Baidyanath Dham, along with a copy of her book, “Live-in Relationship.”
The program featured a graceful Kathak dance performance by Mondrita Chatterjee at the Raj Bhavan, which captivated the audience.
Achievements and Recognition
The university students delivered commendable performances across all categories. Notably, Shivangi Mishra secured the third position overall in the program and ranked first among all participants from Jharkhand for her exemplary performance.
The team returned to Ranchi on March 3. Upon their arrival, they met with the University Registrar to share their experiences. The Registrar congratulated the students and Dr. Tripura Jha on their significant achievements.
This program served as a vital platform for cultural exchange, allowing students to gain a deep understanding of the traditions, social life, and culture of Northeast India.
