‘Salute To the Mother Power’ Ceremony Honors Women on International Women’s Day

Jamshedpur: Social activist Amarpreet Singh Kale led a grand felicitation ceremony titled ‘Salute to the Mother Power’ to celebrate International Women’s Day. During the event, organizers honored women who have contributed remarkably to various fields, recognizing their dedication and achievements. The ceremony drew prominent personalities from the city’s social, political, and cultural spheres.

Addressing the gathering, Amarpreet Singh Kale identified women’s power as the strongest foundation of society. “Women play a vital role in everything from nurturing families to building the nation,” Kale said. “Today, women use their talent, hard work, and determination to shape the country’s future in every field. We must honor and respect this Mother Power.”

INTUC leader Rakeshwar Pandey emphasized that a progressive and strong society defines itself by how it respects women. He noted that women currently lead the way in education, politics, industry, and social service, inspiring the entire community.

Zilla Parishad President Bari Murmu argued that society and the nation cannot progress without women. She urged the community to guarantee respect, security, and equal opportunities for women to build a developed society.

Tripura Jha highlighted women as both the backbone of the family and a primary force behind social development. She pointed out that women consistently prove their abilities in health, administration, and social work. Jha maintained that holistic development requires society to provide women with equal opportunities.

Renowned literary figure Ragini Bhushan described women as unique symbols of compassion, strength, and creativity. She noted that a woman’s spirit of sacrifice and resilience inspires society to move forward. Bhushan called for greater awareness of women’s rights and urged the community to encourage women to take on leadership roles.

  • Kalyani Sharan, Former Chairperson of the Women’s Commission

  • Kavita Parmar, Devyani Murmu, and Kusum Purti, District Council members

  • Rajpati Devi, Former BJP Mahila Morcha President

  • Avishka Chand, Miss India Runner-Up

The programme concluded as Neeru Singh delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the guests, participants, and organizers for a successful event.
