Jamshedpur, August 11:The Department of Sanskrit is a well-equipped and established department in Jamshedpur Women’s University.
Apart from the university, girl students from all the remote rural and urban areas are studying and teaching in various colleges and schools in Jamshedpur city.
Highlighting the importance of sanskrit language, vice-chancellor Anjila Gupta said that “after studying Sanskrit subject in the university, multi-faceted options are available to the girl students in the modern context, such as – teaching field, religious leaders in the army,UPSC, various state public service commission, Archaeological Department etc.
Employment opportunities can be obtained in all these fields with Sanskrit subject. Sanskrit has been included in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution of India as a modern Indian language. Under the theory, it is being included in the school curriculum on a large scale in Hindi-speaking areas. For this reason, this subject is very beneficial for girl students aspiring to become teachers.”
