Jamshedpur Women’s University NCC Cadet Hemanti Patar Selected for Russia Visit under Defence Ministry Programme

Jamshedpur, May 2: Jamshedpur Women’s University (JWU) NCC Cadet Hemanti Patar has brought pride to her university and state by being selected to represent India in Russia under the Youth Exchange Programme (2025-26) of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. She is among six cadets chosen nationwide to participate in the Cadet Friendship Festival, which will be held at Kazan Suvorov Military School, Russia, from 1 to 8 June 2025.
On this remarkable achievement, JWU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anjila Gupta extended her heartfelt congratulations to Hemanti Patar. She stated, “This is a matter of great pride for our university and the entire state. Hemanti has earned this honour through her hard work and discipline.”

Prof. Gupta also acknowledged the vital role of CTO Preeti in the grooming of NCC cadets. “ Preeti’s efficient leadership and constant guidance have helped cadets reach national and international platforms,” she said.
Additionally, she expressed gratitude towards Colonel Vinay Ahuja, Commanding Officer of the 37 Jharkhand Battalion NCC, for his inspiring leadership. She credited his vision and organizational skills for instilling confidence and patriotism among the cadets.
