Jamshedpur, July 20: Intermediate students of the academic session 2021-23 staged angry demonstration at Jamshedpur Women’s University on Wednesday following the closure of all Intermediate courses. They alleged that the university had suddenly stopped the Intermediate courses despite having admitted them earlier. They said they had taken admission in the erstwhile Jamshedpur Women’s College. But after getting the status of a university, the institution scrapped its Intermediate department and also put an end to all Intermediate courses.
Leading the students, AJSU Chhatra Sangh leader Hemant Pathak said the university should adopt a considerate view of the situation and ensure that the Intermediate students complete their courses.
The agitating students said they would be meeting the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum tomorrow to seek her intervention in the matter.
