Jamshedpur Women’s University hosts winter donation camp ‘Tapish’

Jamshedpur, Dec 20: The NSS department of Jamshedpur Women’s University (JWU) launched a two-day winter donation camp, ‘Tapish,’ at the university’s Bistupur campus. The initiative aims to collect clothes from teachers and students to support the needy in rural areas during the winter season.

The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Deepa Sharan, Dean of Commerce, in the presence of NSS Coordinator Dr. Gloria Purti and NSS Officer Dr. D. Pushpa Lata. Dr. Sunita Kumari and NSS volunteers also actively contributed to the program’s success.

Organizers have appealed to the university community to generously donate warm clothing, emphasizing the importance of supporting underprivileged communities during the harsh winter months. The collected items will be distributed to rural areas in the coming days.

The camp reflects the university’s commitment to social responsibility and community service, with NSS students playing a vital role in organizing and managing the event. The initiative has received enthusiastic support, fostering a spirit of giving and compassion among students and faculty alike.
