Jamshedpur, Oct 13: Vice Chancellor of Jamshedpur Women’s University (JWU) Dr Anjila Gupta has directed all faculty members of different departments to get enrolled under various professional development courses offered by IGNOU in order to hone their professional skills and ensure better future prospects. She said the priority of administrators was to enhance the skill level of teachers in higher education institutions as per the new Education Policy 2020. As per this plan, the faculty members of JWU would participate in a six day workshop going to be organized under the joint aegis of IGNOU and UNESCO. This is an international level event on the topic ‘Training of Trainers on Media and Information Literacy’. The faculties would also be enrolling for second professional development programme ‘Implementation of NEP 2020’ which is crucial for college and university teachers, said Dr Anjila Gupta.

The teachers would get promotion benefits through increased Academic Professional Indicator score under Career Advancement Scheme.
