Jamshedpur, Aug 6: Jamshedpur Women’s University’s MBA Department celebrated “Barso Re – A Sawan Gala (Go Green Environment)” on the auspicious month of Sawan, on Saturday. Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr) Anjila Gupta and esteemed dignitaries, including Dr Kshwar Ara, Dr Deepa Sharan, Dr Annapurna Jha, Dr Ratna Mitra, and other teachers inaugurated the program.
Addressing the gathering, Vice-Chancellor highlighted the significance of the Sawan month, emphasizing the importance of environment and the greenery. She emphasized that this period is cherished by all species of the Earth, as it signifies a time of enjoyment.
The event also marked a heartwarming farewell for the MBA final semester students of the 2021-23 batch, organized in a novel and unique manner. The Vice-Chancellor, along with the students and MBA faculties, participated in a tree-planting activity, symbolizing their commitment to environmental preservation.
Numerous cultural events, including Ganesh Vandana, group dances, mehndi art, and more, were organized, with enthusiastic student participation.
Dr Shweta Prasad and Dr Keya Banerjee of the MBA Department played crucial roles in initiating and organizing the event. The “Barso Re – A Sawan Gala” celebration showcased the university’s dedication to environmental consciousness and provided a memorable experience for all attendees.
