Jamshedpur Women�s College celebrates World Shakespeare Day

Jamshedpur, April 25: World Shakespeare Day was celebrated with zeal at Jamshedpur Women�s College on Sunday, April 25.

Two day event took place in the multipurpose hall of the B.Ed. Faculty with the students participating from different departments in the activities which included skit competition masquerade, quiz.�The students were rewarded for their performances in nation events.�

In the poster making competition, the judge was Miss Pushpa and Dr. Kakoli Basak, wherein Lata Mani, Sneha and Kakoli secured the first position, Chandana, Shweta, Sangeeta Bhattacharjee, Shaniya Nanra secured second position and Lata Kumari took third place. The paper presentation which took place on 24th April Dr. Lakshmishree Banerjee and Mrs. Anita Choudhary were the judges.�

Soumya Gope secured the first place, Shreyari Bhattacharjee the second and Alisha Anthony and Jasmine Mchardy the third place.�For the speech competition, Shristi Chauhan bagged the first position, Shilpi Tiwari, second with Anubhuti Chakraborty while Neha Tiwari secured the third place.�

For the slogan competition, Shweta, Chandana, and Beena Kumari secured the first, second and the third position respectively.�The skit competition, which was judged by Dr. Kakoli Basak and Dr. Chandra Pathak, Divya and group secured the first place, Anubhuti & group the second while Nikita and group stood third.�

The mas quaerade was judged by Dr. Sutapa Biswas and Dr. Lakshmishree Banerjee, in which Apurva stood first, Alisha the second, and Anubhuti the third.�

There was also a quiz competition organised in which the students actively participated and also involved the audience too.�The event was a success and it proved informative for the students too.�
