Jamshedpur: Woman’s body found hanging, family suspects murder

Jamshedpur, Aug 23: Body of Pooja Tiwari (28), a resident of Tuiladungri under Golmuri police station, was found hanging from the noose on Monday morning. She was rushed to TMH Hospital, where doctors declared her dead. The family members of the woman have accused the in-laws of killing Pooja.

The deceased also left behind a one and a half year old daughter. The family members of the deceased have registered a case against the in-laws in the police station. Archana Tiwari, younger sister of the deceased, has accused Pooja’s husband Mahesh Tiwari, father-in-law Shatrughan Tiwari, mother-in-law and sister-in-law of torturing Pooja.

Archana said that Pooja’s maternal uncle is in Kadma. In 2019, she was married to Mukesh Tiwari. Mukesh claimed himself as an employee of Tata Motors. Archana said that her sister had come to her home on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. She went back home at 10 pm.

In the morning Pooja’s family got a call that Pooja had committed suicide. When they reached Pooja’s in-laws’ house, she was found hanging from the noose. After this, brought down from the noose and brought to TMH where she was pronounced dead. The family members have demanded action against Pooja’s in-laws.
