Jamshedpur, March 29: A Jugsalai-based woman, Poonam Devi, has sought police protection from her husband, Manoj Kumar, while accusing him of torturing her.
The woman, who reached SSP Office with her complaint, alleged that her husband had been subjecting her to mental and physical cruelty for the last 17 years. She said she is a mother of three and her husband is a marketing executive with good salary. Despite earning enough, Manoj does not give any money to his wife for household and personal expenses, alleged Poonam.
Poonam said her husband had beaten her up near Tata Pigments Company in Jugsalai Monday last. She said she had complained to Jugsalai police, but no action was taken against him.
