Jamshedpur woman robbed of jewelry

Jamshedpur, March 3: Unidentified criminals robbed one Navinder Kaur of Sonari West Lay Out of ornaments worth several lakhs on Friday evening. Sources said the victim had gone out of her house for an evening walk. On her return, three bike-borne youths, claiming to be police officers, stopped her and advised her to hand over her ornaments to her for safety reasons. The three assured to return her ornaments safely to her. The victim gave in to the trick and handed her ornaments to them. She was handed a packet by the trio. When she went home and opened it, she found two fake bangles inside. She said she had given her gold and diamond jewelry to the culprits. Police have lodged an FIR in this connection and begun investigation into the case.
