Jamshedpur woman attempts suicide from Mango Bridge

Jamshedpur: On Sunday afternoon, a woman was seen jumping from Mango Bridge. Passersby caught her in time and saved her by taking her to a safe place. On receiving the information, the local police station also reached the spot and took the woman under their protection and started interrogation.

According to the information, the name of the woman is Hina Khatoon (27 years) and she is a resident of Jugsalai. Hina told the police that six years ago she was married to a man named Firoz, who is a resident of Raj Kharsawan. Initially, the life of both was normal, but about three years ago, disputes started arising between them and they started living separately. Meanwhile, they also had a child.

In a statement given to the police, Hina told that for the last two years she was living with a man named Imran. Imran works as a tailor and he had sexual relations with Hina by luring her with marriage. Hina says that Imran continuously exploited her and after getting pregnant, he also talked about aborting the child. Hina is currently three months pregnant and Imran was mentally pressurizing her regarding this pregnancy.

On Sunday, due to mental stress, Hina reached Mango Bridge to commit suicide. Passersby saw her and caught her and took her to a safe place. After this, the police was informed. The police station in-charge said that the woman has been kept in a safe place and her mental condition is being assessed. Also, a case has been registered against Imran and investigation has been started.
