Jamshedpur, May 18: In a disturbing incident at Chuna Shah Colony in the Ulidih police station area, a group of miscreants attempted to forcibly occupy the residence of an elderly woman named Khairunnisha. They vandalized the house, throwing all the household belongings onto the street after breaking them. Shockingly, it is alleged that the assailants also made an attempt to sexually assault Khairunnisha’s daughter. Seeking justice, Khairunnisha approached the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Prabhat Kumar and City SP Vijay Shankar on Thursday to register her complaint. She was advised to visit the Ulidih police station by the officials.

According to the victim, Khairunnisha, her father, Mohammad Anwar, was provided land in Chuna Shah Colony by Puranmal Agarwal several decades ago. They have been residing in a house built on that land for the past 50 years. The adjacent land was also allocated to a neighbor named Saddam by Puranmal Agarwal. However, Saddam now intends to seize Khairunnisha’s land as well. On May 7, Saddam, accompanied by his associate Sheru and other family members had forcefully entered Khairunnisha’s house, wreaking havoc by throwing all the household items onto the road and attempted to occupy the property. The situation escalated further when they subjected Khairunnisha’s daughter, Saba Parveen, to physical assault. The attackers also issued threats demanding that the family vacate the premises. Khairunnisha initially lodged a complaint at the Ulidih police station, but no action had been taken prompting her to escalate the matter by lodging a complaint at the SSP office.
