Jamshedpur, March 9: Dumaria police arrested a woman, identified as Rupan Patar alias Ruman Yadav, for allegedly selling a girl in Rajasthan. They brought the accused to Dumaria from Rampur Kalan police station area in Madhya Pradesh.
Sources said a case of immoral trafficking was registered against Rupan on 5th September 2018. They had earlier arrested Ranveer Chaturvedi, the victim’s husband, for his alleged role in selling his wife with the help of Rupan.
After getting a complaint, cops rescued the victim girl in 2018. She got married thereafter, sources said.
