Jamshedpur, Dec 22: Tata Steel Sports Department is organising the first-ever Winter Sports Camp 2023, from December 24 to 31 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex. Registration for the camp closes on December 24 at 12 noon.
Interested candidates in the age bracket 6 to 18 years can participate in this camp. The opening ceremony will be held on December 24, and the camp will conclude with a prize distribution on December 31. The camp will run from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, with swimming sessions scheduled from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A wide range of sports will be available for participants to choose from, including swimming, horse riding, badminton, cricket, roller skating, lawn tennis, basketball, chess, table tennis, football, athletics, volleyball, yoga, and Zumba.
In addition to the regular participants, the Winter Camp will also welcome 30 special children (through Special Olympic Bharat-Jharkhand) and 50 community children. The opening ceremony on December 24 will feature a Christmas Carnival with various attractions such as a soft play area, live music band, and food stalls. Additionally, a session on Sports Psychology and Nutrition for parents will also be organised.
