Gamharia, Feb 21: Vidya Jyoti School, Gamharia students Radha Kumari and Rani Kumari bagged gold and silver medals respectively at the state level athletics meet organized by the Sports Authority of Government of Jharkhand.
Radha Kumari won the gold medal in the 100 meter race in which she clocked 12.29 seconds while Rani Kumari, competing in the 200 meter race grabbed the bronze by breasting the tape in 28.90 seconds.
The Gamharia Vidya Jyoti School management, at a special function honoured Radha Kumari and Rani Kumari for their medal winning performances at the state sports meet and presented gifts to them. School Principal Sunil Kumar Jha and Vice Principal Anand Singh while presenting the awards wished them a bright future. Sports Coach of the school, Karamu Mandal was also present on the occasion.
