Jamshedpur, April 30: In a moment of immense pride for the city, Shambhavi Tewari of Sacred Heart Convent School has emerged as the national topper in the ISC Examination 2026, securing a perfect 100 percent. The results were announced on Thursday morning by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations.
Shambhavi’s exceptional performance has brought laurels not only to her school but also to the entire region. She also topped the Bio Science stream, demonstrating academic excellence and consistency throughout the year.
Other outstanding achievers from the school include Sneha Dutta, who scored 98.25 percent, followed by Bhumika Sharma with 96.5 percent and Taniya Sana Runda with 96.25 percent. Several students across streams delivered commendable results, reflecting the school’s strong academic culture.
The school principal Sister Steffi A.C congratulated the achievers and praised their dedication, hard work, and perseverance. “We are extremely proud of Shambhavi and all our students. Their success is a result of consistent effort, disciplined study, and the guidance of our committed teachers,” the principal said.

Shambhavi secured a historic milestone that has brought immense joy to her family and is being hailed as a significant academic triumph. Despite this monumental achievement in the board exams, she remains deeply focused on her ultimate goal of becoming a doctor and is currently engaged in preparations for the NEET entrance test scheduled for May 3.
Shambhavi’s path to academic perfection was defined by a rigorous and self-motivated routine, during which she consistently dedicated nine hours a day to her studies. Her father, Rakesh Raman, a Program Executive at All India Radio, noted that his daughter remained completely detached from social media to maintain her concentration.
Even during regular school days, she would balance her classes with dedicated two-hour study blocks extending late into the night. This disciplined approach ensured that her board exam preparation integrated seamlessly with her competitive coaching, allowing her to master her subjects comprehensively.
Nurtured in an environment of excellence, Shambhavi’s mother, Nibha Sinha, serves as a PGT Chemistry teacher at St. Mary’s English High School and provides a strong academic foundation at home.
Sharing success tips for other students, Rakesh Raman emphasized that Shambhavi prioritized self-study and a genuine passion for learning over external pressure. He advised students to recognize their own strengths and choose academic streams based on genuine interest while maintaining absolute self-belief. As she continues her final preparations at Abdul Bari College for her medical entrance exam, Shambhavi stands as an inspiration for students aiming for national-level excellence.
