Jamshedpur: Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Safari Royals emerge winners in Tata Motors Basketball tournament

Jamshedpur, Oct 22: Safari Royals and Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya were declared winners of the basketball tournament in the team and school category respectively.

Organised by Tata Motors Sports Department the tournament concluded on Saturday at Tata Motors Sports Complex.

 In the team category the final was played between Safari Royals and Nano Warriors, which witnessed neck-to-neck competition between both the teams, but Safari Royals won the match by 42: 40 points with last minute basket.

In the school category-Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya thrashed Gulmohar High School in one-sided match and won the tourney with 86 : 38 points.

 In the team category Abhay Gupta of Safari Royals and in School Category Veer Pratap Singh of Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya were adjudged best player of the tournament.

 Chief Guest Manas Mishra, Sr General Manager – Product Development, Tata Motors, Jamshedpur and Guest of Honour Rajat Kumar Singh, Head – Town Administration, Tata Motors Jamshedpur graced the occasion and felicitated the winner and runner-up team.
