Jamshedpur Veg markets to remain closed from 3 pm today to 7 pm Sunday

Jamshedpur, July 10: Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla has ordered that all vegetable markets under Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC), Mango Notified Area Committee (MNAC) and Jugsalai Municipal Corporation (JMC) will remain closed from Saturday, July 11 from 3 pm to Sunday, July 12 till 7 pm. This decision has been taken in view of the growing cases of coronavirus infection. The purpose of the closure is to sanitize the market places as a measure to contain the rapid spread of COVID-19 in the city.
The DC has given the responsibility for the execution of the sanitization in market places to the Incident Commanders and the officials of the three city wings. It has also been resolved that as a measure to harness the spread of coronavirus infection, the sanitization work will be conducted on a weekly basis to keep citizens safe from the viral contagion.
