Jamshedpur: Two lady police personnel were injured as they were riding a scooter was hit by a biker near Sakchi mosque under Sakchi police station area on Mondaymorning. The injured cops, which include assistant sub-inspector Tillotama Kumari (40) was riding the scooter and was without helmet.
Another lady cop who was injured was identified as Sitamuni Hansda (27) who is a constable posted at Sakchi police station.
The bike rider, later identified as Om Prakash Yadav (30) was also injured in the mishap, but another lady cop fortunately escaped unhurt.
The two lady cops were rushed to MGM Medical College Hospital, where the ASI and constable have been admitted. Yadav who is a resident of Tista Road in Kadma was detained after he was administered first-aid.
Both Tillotama and Sitamuni has sustained head injuries. The medical college hospital sources said the two lady police officials were subjected to X-ray and have been admitted.
” Two cops were injured but their condition is out of danger. But still they have been admitted at the hospital,” said a doctor. OC, Sakchi police station, Madan Kumar Sharma confirmed about the mishap involving two lady cops.
” We are investigating the mishap. The accident took place while the ASI, Tillotama and another constable were coming to the police station for their duty,” said Sharma.
