Jamshedpur, April 1: The court of Principal District and Sessions Judge Anil Kumar Mishra (1) sentenced two ganja (cannabis) smugglers, Murari Yadav and Shiv Shankar Singh, to 10 years of imprisonment each. It also slapped a fine of Rs 2 lakh on each of the convicts.
Public Prosecutor Avdhesh Kumar Singh said a total of five witnesses had deposed before the court. Assistant Sub Inspector Maqbool Ahmad Khan had lodged an FIR against the accused persons on 14th June 2016. Sitaramdera police had arrested the two accused at Sakchi Bus Stand. During frisking, the cops found 29 kg of ganja in the possession of the accused persons.
