Jamshedpur: The two-day “PMFME Mahotsav” concluded successfully at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur, Jamshedpur, with a B2B and B2G workshop on the final day. The event saw participation from key officials, including General Manager-cum-Member Secretary PMFME Mahotsav Ravi Shankar Prasad, Regional Manager of Jharkhand State Gramin Bank kant Katare, EODB Managers Syed Mudassar Anwar (Jamshedpur), Anil Kumar (Chaibasa), and Rohit Kumar (Seraikela), along with District Entrepreneur Coordinators Manju Minj (Jamshedpur) and Adeline Bhutkuvar (Chaibasa/Seraikela). Additionally, members of the SPMU Team from Ranchi, beneficiaries of the PMFME Yojana, food processing machine manufacturers, and various stakeholders attended the workshop.
The workshop began with beneficiaries sharing their experiences. Entrepreneurs such as Vaishali Dairy, CC Self Group, Neelam Solanki, and Poly Organics (Pushpa Tirki) spoke about the support and guidance received from banks and the District Industries Center. They also highlighted challenges faced in marketing, particularly in mushroom processing and other micro food processing sectors. The General Manager advised entrepreneurs to take inspiration from the Amul Milk Federation to enhance packaging and product quality to international standards.
Ganapati Milk Products Pvt. Ltd., Chandil, the Jharkhand unit of Amul Milk Federation, provided insights into modern technology and supply chain management in dairy processing.
Further, the Regional Manager of Jharkhand State Rural Bank guided attendees on key aspects of applying for PMFME loans. He emphasized that JRGB has shown remarkable performance under this scheme across Jharkhand, including Purbi Singhbhum. He assured applicants facing loan-related issues that they can directly approach the bank branch for assistance.
In the technical session, the SPMU team from Ranchi provided detailed guidance on the scheme’s technical aspects. They also addressed queries related to branding and packaging, offering valuable insights to aspiring entrepreneurs and existing beneficiaries.
