Jamshedpur Truck Trailer Owners Association announce strike

Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, August 30: The Jamshedpur Truck Trailer Owners Association has announced a strike following a meeting with Keonjhar Union officials. The strike comes after the union halted loaded vehicles for three days. The association is demanding a 50% increase in road transport for goods currently routed through railway racks and pipelines and an adjustment in fare rates, which have remained unchanged for four years. Rising costs of vehicle maintenance and fuel have further motivated their demand. The association plans to escalate their protest if their demands are not met, including engaging with district administration and state government officials.
