Jamshedpur, August 30: In a concerted effort to curb the spread of dengue, the Mango Municipal Corporation has ramped up its anti-larva spraying operations across various localities. Acting under the directives of the Additional Municipal Commissioner, daily anti-larva spraying and fogging activities have been initiated. Residents have been urged to prevent water logging around their homes, including in tyres, tanks, and other empty spaces.
During an inspection in the Pardih area, a fine of Rs 5,000 was imposed on a property for water logging. Similar operations were conducted in areas like Old Purulia Road and Dimna Road, with the Municipal Commissioner mandating that these activities continue daily as per a roster.
In addition to the anti-larva measures, the city’s enforcement teams cracked down on encroachments. Near Gulab Bagh Phase One, a fine of ₹8,000 was collected for the unauthorized storage of building materials on the roadside. Offenders were also warned against future violations. City Manager Kunal Kumar Singh, along with other municipal workers, played a key role in these operations.
