Jamshedpur: Traffic congestion in Mango needs urgent resolution

Jamshedpur, December 1: Persistent traffic congestion in Mango has prompted renewed appeals to the East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner for immediate intervention. Highlighting the gravity of the issue, concerns were raised about the administration’s delayed response despite repeated requests over the past six days.

During a phone conversation, it was emphasized that heavy vehicles should be barred from entering Jamshedpur during the day. A proposal was made to restrict their entry between midnight and 6 a.m. only. It was pointed out that daytime relaxation for vehicles, especially those bound for Tata Steel, exacerbated traffic jams on Mango Bridge.

While acknowledging a recent meeting of police and administrative officials, it was noted that no tangible outcomes had been achieved so far. A warning was issued that if no concrete measures were implemented promptly, frustrated residents could take matters into their own hands by blocking heavy vehicle entry during the day.

The situation on Mango Bridge was alarming, with traffic mismanagement affecting several other critical locations in Jamshedpur. Urgent measures were needed to alleviate public inconvenience and ensure smoother traffic flow.

The district administration has been urged to act within a week to address this pressing issue, with hopes pinned on a swift resolution to relieve residents of their daily struggles.
