Jamshedpur traders to support Janta Curfew, people make last minute purchases

Jamshedpur, March 21: Traders and businessmen� across steel city will keep their establishments closed on Sunday (March 22) in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for a self imposed Janata Curfew.

The members of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( SCCI) at a meeting at the Chamber Bhavan in Bistupur announced that they will keep their shutters down. Suresh Sonthalia, a senior functionary of SCCI said that the Government has taken a novel way to combat corona virus. The move will help to break the chain of the virus.


On Saturday, people were seen making last purchases in the market.
Meanwhile, East� Singhbhum district administration have started using infrared non-contact digital forehead thermometer at the 12 inter-district checkpoints.�

The administration have got 12 infrared non-contact digital forehead thermometers tomorrow for use at the different inter-district and inter-state check points across the district for screening of passengers from other state and district entering city.

All the checkpoints are functional tomorrow round the clock and� have armed police force, deputed magistrates on shift basis for carrying out mandatory screening of passengers.

The team are be stopping all public transport including long distance buses, SUVs, cars and auto-rickshaws entering the city.
