40 year old trampled to death in dalma wildlife sanctuary

Jamshedpur, March 21: A 40-year-old man was trampled to death by an elephant inside dalma wildlife sanctuary early morning.
The victim Dhaniram Birhor, a resident of Chhotabanki village, was heading to meet nature�s call when he came across the elephant. He tried to run but fell down and was trampled to death by the elephant. Birhor died on the spot near the village on the foothills..
Assistant conservator of forest R.P. Singh, who reached the spot, said� Birhor was one among a group of villagers who were knitting ropes at Chhotabanki village.�
The body of� the victim was handed over to his family after post-mortem at MGM Medical College . Birhor�s widow Saroti was handed over Rs 30,000 for performing last rites of the victim, Singh said.
