Jamshedpur, June 24: Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) organized a meeting of traders of various city markets here on Friday. President Vijay Anand Moonka informed the participants about the ongoing agitation against the recent hike in shop rent and the protest strategy chalked out in this connection by the SCCI.
Moonka said the traders should file an appeal either in the court of the Deputy Commissioner or in the High Court to challenge the government decision to hike shop rent. He said legal steps should be taken to counter the adverse situation being faced by the traders. He said the agitation would continue on the sidelines of the legal action being mulled over by the traders. Many traders were present at the meeting today.
The meeting was attended by Anil Modi, Nitesh Dhut, Mahesh Sonthalia and several others.
