Jamshedpur to host year-long events marking 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur

Jamshedpur:A year-long series of events will be held in Jamshedpur to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Members of the Veer Khalsa Seva Dal convened a meeting on Tuesday to plan the outline of the celebrations.
It was decided that the events will begin with Kirtan Darbars at Sakchi and Jugsalai. The first Diwan will take place on April 25, both in the morning and evening at Sakchi Gurudwara, while the second Diwan will be held on April 26, morning and evening, at Station Road Gurudwara in Jugsalai.
Renowned kirtaniyas, including Bhai Ravinder Singh from the UK and Head Granthi Singh Sahib Bachittar Singh, will grace the occasion. They will enlighten the congregation with the history and tales of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s martyrdom.
Present at the meeting were Sukhwinder Singh, Harveer Singh, Harjeet Singh, Gurvinder Singh, Davinder Singh, Charanjit Singh, Satbir Singh Somu, Prabhjot Singh, Mahendra Pal Singh, Shyam Singh, Nishan Singh, Satinder Singh, and Chanchal Singh, among others.
