Jamshedpur to host second Jharkhand National Film Festival in October

Jamshedpur, August 7 : Stage is being set for the second edition of Jharkhand National Film Festival slated in October. Mitra Productions and Asma Charitable Trust will organize the film festival. Well known personalities from the Hindi film industry like Director Imtiaz Ali, Sajid Ali and actors like Yashpal Sharma and Aditya Srivastava are expected to attend the event. A press meet was organised at the Tata Steel urban services office in Sakchi to share the details. The festival will start from October 15.

Raju Mitra, founder of Jharkhand National Film Festival (JNFF) said that the first edition of the film festival witnessed overwhelming response and inspired from it we are getting ready for the event.Last time 64 films were screened at the festival.

As per the plans the movies will be screened at the Michael John auditorium, Srinath College of Education and other venues while the finale which is the prize distribution will be held at the Tata Auditorium.

The last date of entries in four categories- feature films, documentary, short films and video albums will be August 25. The entries will have to be submitted on http://www.jnff.in. Films in four languages of Nagpuri,Jharkhand- Santhali, Ho,  andKhorta along with Hindi, Bengali, Telugu and Tamil will be screened at the festival.
