Jamshedpur to host Rose Show after 12-year hiatus

Jamshedpur, Dec 19: After a 12-year hiatus, Jamshedpur is set to host the 41st All India Rose Convention cum Rose Show on December 29 and 30 at Gopal Maidan and Tulsi Bhawan. Organized by the Indian Rose Federation (IRF) in collaboration with the Horticulture Society of Jamshedpur, the event promises to be a visual treat for flower enthusiasts and the general public.

The show will run from 9 AM to 9 PM and is themed “Charo Taraf Gul Aur Gulab Hai, Jamshedpur me aai Bahar Hai.” Vice President of the Horticulture Society Jamshedpur, BK Maity, informed that the event will feature approximately 4,000 varieties of cut roses displayed across 77 sections. Local rose growers will be given a special pavilion, showcasing their blooms with their names prominently displayed.

Technical sessions will be held at Tulsi Bhawan as part of the convention. Experts from the IRF will deliver insights on rose cultivation methods, growing roses in soilless conditions, and rose breeding techniques.

The event is expected to draw over 250 delegates, including 66 local participants. Organizers aim to make the convention a grand success, celebrating the beauty and artistry of roses while enriching the knowledge of enthusiasts.
