Jamshedpur, July 26: An Aero Modelling Show will be organised at Gopal Maidan on July 29 as part of birth anniversary celebrations of Bharat Ratna JRD Tata.
The event scheduled between 9 am to 10:30 am is open for all the citizens of Jamshedpur.
As a tradition that has garnered appreciation over the years, the Aero Modelling Show promises interactive displays, and a splendid exhibition of remarkable model planes.
The much-awaited show will witness display of around 12 model planes of various sizes and types ranging from planes nitro engines, turbine engines to electric engines. The team from Jamshedpur and Kolkata are getting together to showcase and fly some of the models. There will also be static display of planes and other models. Planes like Fun Cub, Slow Stick and twin electric will be flown during the show.
Apart from this, various sporting events will be organised to mark the occasion at JRD Tata Sports Complex and other locations. A Walkathon is also being organised on June 29 morning at JRD Tata Sports Complex which will be open for the citizens of Jamshedpur.

Please plan for airport in the steel city. Aero modelling show is all eye-wash. Shame there is no fully functional airport in Tata’s home turf
No airport in the city . The city is dying . Even small town like deoghar has a functional airport . It’s a shame & no one is bothered . Jamshedpur will boost like Bangalore or Hyderabad if it gets an airport.
Absolutely and this has been going on since many years that airport will be constructed but nothing. A city like doesn’t have airport its really a shame.
