JRD Tata mural to be unveiled

Jamshedpur, July 28: Jamshedpur is all set to pay tributes to legendary industrialist and philanthropist Bharat Ratna JRD Tata on his 117th birth anniversary on July 29. Series of events have been lined up to mark the occasion. At first a Virtual Walkathon will be organised for all employees of Tata Steel. Followed by tree plantation drive by Sanjeev K Choudhary, President Tata Workers Union along with Chanakya Choudhary Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel at an identified site near Subarnarekha flats.

Digital Homage will be paid to the by all the employees of Tata Steel on intranet.

A virtual session will be conducted by Dr J J Irani reminiscing JRD for all employees.

Later in the day Window on the World virtual session with Padma Shree Sudha Murthy, Chairperson, Infosys Foundation in conversation with Koushik Chatterjee, ED&CFO, Tata Steel, for all employees.

Virtual event titled “Giving wings to your dreams” by the aviation department for the school students of Std VI and VIII. 35 schools from Jamshedpur and few from Raw Material locations, Odisha and Tata Steel Kalinganagar will part of the session.

JRD Tata Mural will be unveiled and Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) Sport Climbing Academy will be inaugurated at JRD Tata Sports Complex by Chanakya Choudhary Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel on Thursday.
