Jamshedpur, April 28: Three children drowned in a pond near Kolabira under Seraikela police station area on Thursday, sources said.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Wahid (13), Abdul Rahman (13) and Mohammad Akbar (12), all local residents.
Sources said the tragedy occurred around 11 am when the three kids had gone to the pond to take bath. While bathing, Akbar started drowning. The other two kid tried to save him, but started drowning too. Before anyone could notice them, they had drowned, sources said.
Police fished out the victims and sent them to Tata Main Hospital where the three were declared brought dead, sources said.
