Jamshedpur: Three arrested for stealing goods from Abhijeet company

Seraikela, Oct 21: Police arrested three persons on charges of stealing iron and aluminium goods from the closed company of Abhijeet Group in Dasiadih village of Sini in Seraikela-Kharsawan on Friday.

According to Circle Inspector of Police Ram Anoop Mahato, “We had got a tip-off about few people reportedly engaged in the theft of metal goods from the company premises. They reached here by crossing the river. A police patrol team reached the village and spotted eight to 10 people carrying iron and aluminium goods on their shoulders. The accused persons used a motorcycle to cross the Sanjay river. On seeing police, they threw down the goods on the ground and started running. The police team arrested three of them after a chase.”

Those arrested were identified as Ranga Bari, Kundan Raj and Fazal Sheikh. Cops seized five motorcycles, iron cutters, blades, axe, three bundles of aluminium wire and rods from the scene. Cops said raids were on to nab the absconding accused.
