Jamshedpur: Thief nabbed while attempting to steal AC

Jamshedpur, June 18: A thief was apprehended by vigilant Home Guard jawans as he attempted to commit a theft within the premises of MGM Hospital in Sakchi on Sunday. The Home Guard jawans successfully caught the suspect and promptly handed him over to the Sakchi police for further investigation.

The jawans revealed that they have observed a recurring pattern of youth from the nearby colony sneaking into the hospital premises to carry out thefts. These individuals, driven by their drug addiction, engage in petty thefts to sustain their habits. In a brazen act, on Sunday morning, a thief entered the hospital through the toilet area with the intention of stealing an air conditioning unit installed within the facility. However, luck was not on the thief’s side as he was spotted in the act by patrolling security personnel. Realizing that he had been seen, the thief hastily scaled the hospital wall and made an attempt to escape towards Baradwari. However, the Home Guard jawans were quick on his heels and pursued him relentlessly. Eventually, they managed to chase him down and apprehend him. The suspect is currently undergoing interrogation by the Sakchi police.
