Jamshedpur, Jan 17: A thief was caught redhanded while stealing inside Hanuman temple in Devnagar under Sitaramdera police station area late Monday night.
Sources said several local residents noticed some activity on the temple premises in the small hours. Suspecting the intentions of the trespasser, they went inside and caught the accused. The accused was severely thrashed before being handed over to police late evening.
A theft was committed at the Shani temple in Sitaramdera on the night of 14th January last. The theft was captured by a CCTV camera. The temple committee officials provided the CCTV footage and details of the thief to police. Despite this, the accused has not been arrested so far.
