Jamshedpur theft: Rs 1 lakh stolen from Jugsalai medicine shop

Jamshedpur, April 8: Thieves targeted a medical store in Jugsalai market late Thursday night and took away cash worth over Rs 1 lakh, sources said.

Sources said the shop owner learnt about the theft in the morning when he came to open the shop. The safe was broken with all the cash missing, said the shop owner, adding further that there were mutilated notes worth Rs 25,000 besides the remaining cash worth Rs 75,000 in the safe. The thieves gained entry to the shop by cutting a hole in the roof.

The shop owner registered an FIR against unidentified persons with the Jugsalai police station. Cops said they were investigating the matter to get a clue into the theft.
