Jamshedpur: Tata Lease land freed from encroachment at Jojobera

Jamshedpur, April 23: A team of East Singhbhum district administration launched an anti-encroachment drive in Jojobera under Govindpur police station area on Saturday and freed a Tata lease land, officials said.

Sources said the team bulldozed a half-built house of seven rooms constructed on the said encroached land. Several labourers were found working on the land. The Circle Officer had received a complaint regarding the said encroachment and ordered demolition of the said building. Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav had ordered the SDO Dhalbhum to depute magistrates for the anti-encroachment drive. Six magistrates were deputed at the demolition site. Armed police forces were sent to the spot. The occupants of the half-built structure vacated the premises without protest, sources said.

JNAC City Manager Ravi Bharati said the encroachment removal was peaceful. He appealed to people to think twice before purchasing encroached government plots.
