Jamshedpur Tarapore School celebrates English Language Day

Jamshedpur, April 23:  The Bard of Avon, William Shakespeare’s birth anniversary is observed every year on April 23 as English Language Day. Shakespeare wrote his name on the pages of immortality with his plays and poems that went a long way in enhancing the concept of drama.

Teachers and students of Tarapore School in Agrico organized a variety of activities aimed at making the learning of English entertaining and loaded with fun.

 Poems and skits were written and presented by students of Stds. VI to VIII. They also conducted research projects to find quotes and phrases which were used by Shakespeare and now have gained universal popularity. Students of class IX created crossword puzzles with clues taken from the play, ‘The Merchant of Venice’ while those of Std X ingeniously created ‘Wordle’ Art using famous quotes, dialogues and speeches from plays penned by the Bard. Not to be left behind, the students of Std. XI and XII students also engaged in various research work, presentations and other activities which helped them to appreciate the exquisite knack of William Shakespeare and understand their relevance in human relationships and emotions even in today’s world.
