Jamshedpur, Nov 23: In a prompt action, Jugsalai Police on Saturday arrested Sunny Sardar, the accused in a firing case targeting a Congress leader, shortly after he was released from jail.
According to police, Sunny, who was previously jailed for opening fire on a Congress leader, was found once again in possession of an illegal firearm.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team apprehended him before he could engage in any further criminal activity.
Police officials said the arrest highlights ongoing efforts to curb criminal elements in the region.
The seized weapon has been sent for forensic examination, and further investigation is underway to determine his possible links with other criminal networks.
Sunny Sardar has been remanded to judicial custody once again.
