Jamshedpur: Tata Steel summer camp for the year 2023 was inaugurated by Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President of Corporate Services at Tata Steel on Wednesday. The summer camp will offer training in 22 sporting disciplines and is expected to attract over 3,000 children.
The opening ceremony saw the attendance of Dr. Sudhir Rai, General Manager of Medical Services at Tata Steel, Hemant Gupta, Head of Sports and Tata Steel Adventure Foundation, Anand Menezes, Olympian and Santosh Thakur, Union Committee Member.
The children participating in the summer camp were visibly enthusiastic and excited to learn new skills and engage in various sporting activities.
The summer camp provides them with an opportunity to remain socially active, make new friends, and enjoy their summer holidays in a meaningful manner.
To ensure the success of the summer camp, Tata Steel has deployed more than 150 expert coaches and volunteers from its Sports Department. These coaches will train the children and help them develop their skills in various disciplines.
