Jamshedpur students turn out in large numbers to attend Career Expo at Gulmohur High School


Jamshedpur, Nov 19: Career Expo 2022 organised by Gulmohur High School concluded on buoyant note on Saturday, November 19.

School Principal Priti Sinha with support from Vidya Battiwalla and Ankur Gandotra of Tata Education Excellence Program in association with Tata Steel Foundation successfully hosted the event.

The footfall of students was 3000+ from over thirty-five schools from the city on day two of the expo.

The event was a chance for the schools of the entire city to realise the need to make students know about these interesting career options. It was noticed how students today are diverging towards careers in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Gaming & Coding, Podcasts designing and many more.

Along with the universities, faculty members along with students from JH Tarapore, Tarapore School, Kerela Samajam Model School and Samudayik Ucchh Vidyalaya gave presentations on various career options.

Shikhar from Narbheram Hansraj English School said that the courses offered by universities in animation and vfx attracted him.

“This career fair was very helpful to students in making correct choices for their future,” said faculty member from DBMS Kadma High School Sourav Banerjee.

Subhashree Dash from Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya said being a science student she was happy to learn about futuristic possibilities that she was earlier unaware of.

Faculty from Manav Vikas Vidyalaya (JAC Board) said this was a blessing for the students from their school to know about the diploma courses informed by the representatives from ITI .

Professor Ganesh Lohar from Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences said,” All the things were well organized. The experience was excellent and students and support staff played a very crucial job as they greeted each and everyone whether it was a professor or a support staff member with extreme politeness.”

“It was a huge endeavour.  The response from students was great and it was really wonderful to have a separate room to conduct the Career Expo 2022 and we were able to converse with the students. It was really a nice experience to attend this career expo organised by Gulmohur High School,” Himi Purkayastha from Ashoka University said.
